METAL PULP AND PAPER: Can you give a brief history of your band?
NATHAN GIGUIERE: Been together almost 6 years, 2 albums, a few singles. Received the 2015 Sacramento Area Music Award ("SAMMIE") for 'Hard Rock' and the 2016 SAMMIES for 'Hard Rock' and 'Artist of the Year'.
MPAP: I see your hometown is Sacramento, so have you played the Aftershock
Festival before? Or have you been on the other side of the stage and just watched it in its 5 year history?
NG: This is the first time performing at Aftershock. Most of the band members have attended in the past.
MPAP: What's something you're looking forward to on that epic weekend in October?
NG: Giving a great performance to show that they deserve to have been invited to
perform. Also to rub shoulders back stage with an epic group of performers and watch others and their performances. Just an amazing experience that awaits the band.
MPAP: Which band/s are a must drop everything and watch from the side stage?
NG: The band is a fan of music and each have their own taste but some notable favs.
are Tool, Korn, Chevelle and Primus. A7F puts on a great show, as does Disturbed and can't wait to see Maynard perform with Puscifer. Truth is the line-up is so good!
MPAP: Will you be playing any new material there?
NG: As a virtual unknown on the National stage everything is basically new. Some
Fear None plans on turning some heads and creating a buzz by performing a few songs that can be purchased online at all retailers with hopes that this festival will be the first majors of many to come.
MPAP: Any new music/videos coming out soon?
NG: New lyric video for the song "Disengage" to drop mid July.
MPAP: What's next on the agenda for Some Fear None after the Aftershock Festival in October?
NG: This winter we are looking at going into the studio to record our 3rd album that we look to release in late spring/early summer of 2017 along with a few videos and touring dates.
